The first outcomes from SeaComp project presented at University of Camerino

The project is focused on the recycle of ceramic and cellulosic Adriatic sea waste into composite materials

On 7th December 2023 an event was held in Camerino, at the Rectorate, involving the presence of researchers from University of Montenegro, Faculty of Maritime Studies, and of University of Camerino, in the framework of the SeaComp project.

SeaComp is a MAECI (Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale) funded project, which is focused on the recycle of ceramic (e.g., mussel shells) and cellulosic (e.g., exhausted Posidonia leaves) Adriatic sea waste into composite materials, initially using oil-based matrices, then also bio-based ones.

The outcomes from the first year of research were presented and discussed in the meeting, which is also of interest for the local Materials Science students, and the general science community in this sector.
