ACHEMA 2027 will return to Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 14–18 June 2027, bringing together industry, researchers and technology developers to address some of the major transformations reshaping manufacturing, from decarbonisation and artificial intelligence to digitalisation and modular production.
As a major international forum for chemical and pharmaceutical engineering, process engineering, biotechnology and industrial environmental technology, the event will combine its exhibition with an extensive congress programme featuring more than 900 presentations, panels and workshops.
The programme will be structured around six innovation themes: Digital, Energy, Green, Lab, Pharma and Process. Topics will range from artificial intelligence for the process industry and bioprocessing and next-generation therapeutics to industrial water management and the role of water as a critical resource for industrial transformation.
Modular production will be another major cross-cutting theme, covering standardised process modules, flexible pharmaceutical plants and modular automation. These technologies reflect the growing need for faster, more flexible and capital-efficient manufacturing. For the first time, industrial cybersecurity will also feature as a standalone congress theme.
One example of this transformation will be the Action Area Digital Lab, a live demonstration of a fully automated and digitalised laboratory designed to show how the data gap between laboratory operations and production can be bridged.
The congress will be fully integrated into the exhibition, with sessions taking place in or close to the exhibition halls. The 2024 edition attracted more than 30,000 congress participants. The Call for Papers for ACHEMA 2027 is already open, with abstracts accepted until 4 October 2026.
