Arkema announced a suite of breakthrough composite materials innovations set to be showcased at JEC World 2026, focusing on industrial transformation and environmental sustainability.
The highlights include boat hull components and speed board demonstrators made with Elium® resins that enable circularity through composite recycling, along with 100 % biobased Rilsan® Polyamide 11 used in composites for transportation, sports and energy storage applications.
The company will also present UDX® carbon fiber tapes integrated with biobased thermoplastic polymers, targeting sectors such as advanced transportation, hydrogen storage, and sports equipment. Strategic partnerships underpin efforts to industrialize composite recycling, with collaborations between Arkema, Composite Recycling, Groupe Beneteau, Veolia, Owens Corning, and Chomarat making circular composite solutions viable at scale.
Additionally, a new thermal activation primer from Bostik supports vehicle repair and component disassembly for end‑of‑life recycling. These developments highlight the expanding role of advanced composites in lightweight structures and sustainable solutions across marine, mobility and energy markets.
