Bcomp has announced new developments in the use of its natural fiber composite technologies within motorsport and automotive applications.
The company’s ampliTex™ and powerRibs™ solutions, already adopted by several manufacturers and racing teams, demonstrate how bio-based composites can become a viable alternative to carbon fiber in many semi-structural applications.
According to the company, flax fiber composites significantly reduce CO₂ emissions associated with component manufacturing while maintaining mechanical performance and vibration damping capabilities highly valued in high-performance vehicles.
Interest in natural composites continues to grow as manufacturers seek materials capable of combining lightweight performance, sustainability and industrial scalability.
