Continuous Composites brings continuous-fiber 3D printing into U.S. missile programs

Multi-year contract with U.S. Army DEVCOM Aviation and Missile Center targets defense applications

Continuous Composites has secured a multi-year contract with the U.S. Army DEVCOM Aviation and Missile Center to improve the capability, producibility and affordability of parts manufactured with its CF3D continuous-fiber 3D printing technology.

The work will support current and future missile platforms and explore advanced materials and fiber-steered design within the Precision Strike Missile architecture.

The goal is to address the limits of conventional manufacturing for complex, high-performance components such as nose cones, fins, leading edges and bulkheads. The announcement highlights growing defense interest in scalable composite technologies combining lightweight performance, strength and faster delivery.
