CRP Group heads to Michigan International Speedway with Formula Student World champions MoRe Modena

Italian high-tech manufacturers CRP Meccanica and CRP Technology support the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia’s racing team in their historic US debut

CRP Meccanica and CRP Technology, Italian high-technology companies of the CRP Group specializing respectively in high-precision CNC machining services and professional 3D printing with Windform advanced materials, are technical partners of MoRe Modena Racing (MMR). The first competition of the team’s 2026 season is Formula SAE Michigan, held May 13-16 at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI, USA.

MoRe Modena Racing is the Formula Student racing team of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. In January 2026, following the official Formula Student World Ranking update, the team secured the #1 position worldwide in the Internal Combustion (IC) vehicle category, a title built on three victories in the 2024 season (Austria, Croatia, and Italy) and consolidated through strong results in 2025.

Formula SAE Michigan is the most prestigious and historically significant event in the global Formula SAE circuit: founded in 1981, it hosts 120 teams from the world's leading engineering universities each year. MoRe Modena Racing competes for the first time as Team #32.

The technical partnership between CRP Group and MoRe Modena Racing, established in 2024 under a two-year renewable agreement, has resulted in the manufacture of high-performance components for the M24-LH functional prototype and its subsequent 2026 update: the M26-LH.

CRP Meccanica has performed high-precision CNC machining on the steering support and clutch lever - components made from the Scalmalloy aluminum alloy via DMLS metal 3D printing - as well as lathe operations for gear wheel blanks, CFRP rim turning, and electric motor case machining. For the current 2026 season, CRP Meccanica has machined the new Ergal 7075 aluminum hubs from solid billet, a high-strength aerospace-grade alloy optimized for the demanding loads of Formula SAE competition.
CRP Technology has produced aerodynamic components for the M24-LH using Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology and Windform advanced materials
