PAL-V has obtained its European Production Organisation Approval (POA), authorising the Dutch company to manufacture aviation products under EASA regulations. The milestone complements its existing automotive production approval and represents another major step towards industrial production of its FlyDrive mobility solutions.
According to PAL-V, it is the first company in the FlyDrive segment of Advanced Air Mobility to obtain this approval. The POA confirms that the company's production organisation and manufacturing system meet the requirements for producing airworthy aviation products.
The approval follows other important steps in PAL-V's certification programme, including the “No Technical Objection” received from EASA in 2025. The company has spent almost two decades developing its platform as well as the technical, regulatory and manufacturing expertise required to bring it to market.
“Obtaining the POA is a major milestone for PAL-V,” said Robert Dingemanse, Founder and CEO. “It confirms that we have not only developed a groundbreaking platform for FlyDrive products but have also built a world-class organisation capable of developing, certifying and manufacturing airworthy products.”
The programme has also created an ecosystem involving Dutch and European partners, suppliers, knowledge institutions and certification specialists. PAL-V highlights advanced materials and components, autonomous flight and zero-emission propulsion among the technologies expected to contribute to the future development of the Advanced Air Mobility sector.
With the Production Organisation Approval secured and a reservation portfolio which, according to the company, is sufficient to fill its first three years of production, PAL-V is moving closer to bringing to market a new mobility category combining road transportation and flight in a single vehicle.
