SABIC has introduced a new carbon-fibre reinforced thermoplastic compound containing up to 75% recycled material, representing a significant advance in sustainable composite materials. The product is designed for industrial, automotive and electronics applications requiring high mechanical performance together with a lower environmental footprint.
The development demonstrates that structural composites can actively support circular economy strategies by reducing virgin raw material consumption while maintaining strength, stiffness and durability. It provides manufacturers with a practical solution for meeting increasingly demanding sustainability targets.
