Sergio Solero, 55, will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Italia S.p.A. on July 1, succeeding Massimiliano Di Silvestre, who has left the company after seven years leading the Italian branch of the Munich-based automaker to pursue new professional opportunities.
Sergio, who holds a degree in Management Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, has been with the BMW Group for 29 years and previously served as President and CEO of BMW Italia from 2014 to 2019.
Over the past seven years, Solero has held several positions at the company’s headquarters, including Vice President Sales Steering and Marketing Aftersales and Customer Support, then Vice President Retail Development, and most recently President and CEO of BMW.
