The Luxembourg Institute of Science & Technology is hosting the second edition of its SCMM Industry Day, bringing together the composites community to push forward innovations in sustainable and lightweight materials applied across both civil and defence sectors.
The event takes place Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Maison des Arts et des Étudiants, Esch-sur-Alzette.
OEMs, prime contractors, SMEs, and research leaders will gather to exchange ideas, explore emerging technologies, and forge partnerships aimed at dual-use applications and sustainable mobility.
This year’s theme, “Sustainable and Lightweight Composite Technologies: From Civil to Dual-Use Applications – How to Bridge Civil Technologies with Defence Needs?”, seeks to highlight how advances in composite tech can serve needs beyond traditional civil uses, enhancing resilience and opening new innovation pathways.
Attendees will enjoy keynote speeches and panels by industry and research experts, technology showcases from LIST’s SCMM Innovation Centre, sessions on land, air, space, and unmanned mobility, and B2B matchmaking to connect industry players and researchers. The event is held in English, registration costs €70, and is organized on a non-profit basis to minimize financial and food waste.
