This underscores the company’s ability to efficiently translate research and innovation (R&I) into protected technologies

Syensqo continues to demonstrate the strength of its innovation engine with a robust level of patent activity and strategic intellectual property (IP) management in 2025, securing 140 new inventions through patent filings with focus on high-impact technologies shaping the future of aerospace, electronics and sustainable solutions.

This underscores the company’s ability to efficiently translate research and innovation (R&I) into protected technologies, with an average R&I investment of €2 million per patented invention, outperforming the industry benchmark of approximately €3.1 million per patent by almost 50%.

Syensqo manages a global IP portfolio comprising more than 1,600 patent families protected by about 10,000 patent titles across more than 80 countries. Notably, 38% of these inventions have been secured in the past five years, highlighting the company’s continuous renewal of its technology base and its focus on emerging, high-growth areas.

This dynamic is further reflected in Syensqo vitality index of 20%, underscoring the company’s ability to translate recent innovations into commercial impact. This disciplined portfolio management ensures that Syensqo maintains a strong, relevant and competitive IP position worldwide, while building a high-quality, future-oriented innovation pipeline.

Recent innovations show how Syensqo’s technologies deliver value across key markets while positioning the company at the forefront of industrial transformation. In aerospace, Syensqo’s Double Diaphragm Forming (DDF) manufacturing process enables faster production of lightweight composite parts, helping customers such as Bell lower costs and reducing energy use, greenhouse gas emissions and waste, while maintaining high performance levels.
