Teijin Carbon presented a new generation of carbon fiber reinforced materials at JEC World 2026 designed for high‑performance applications in aerospace, advanced mobility and industrial sectors.
Among the innovations is a new high‑strength carbon fiber filament yarn developed for long‑fiber thermoplastic composites, where high mechanical performance and energy absorption are critical. The company also introduced new short fiber products derived from internal manufacturing residues, designed for automated thermoplastic compounding processes.
Another development is a thermoformable non‑woven composite sheet reinforced with recycled carbon fiber. The material is designed for fast automated forming processes, enabling high‑volume production of lightweight structural components.
According to Teijin Carbon, the goal is to translate material innovation into scalable industrial solutions that combine high mechanical performance with sustainability strategies and recycling initiatives across the composites value chain.
