UAVOS to produce UAV rotor blades with extended service life

The new blades are designed to deliver longer service life and improved aerodynamic performance in rotary‑wing drones used for industrial, surveillance, and security missions

UAVOS, a company operating in unmanned aerial systems and stratospheric technologies, announces the successful production of another batch of high-performance composite rotor blades for unmanned helicopters. Critical to this production process is the UAVOS OVEN-500-2000 Composite Curing Oven - equipment designed, manufactured, and quality-assured entirely in-house by UAVOS. The rotor blades produced by UAVOS have already proven their durability and safety in the UAV industry, offering a service life of up to 3,000 hours.

To achieve this level of performance, UAVOS engineers employ advanced multi-layer carbon composite technology, precisely cured using the OVEN-500-2000. The blade core is milled from approved aviation-grade foam, ensuring an optimal strength-to-weight ratio, while the NACA 23012 airfoil profile provides high aerodynamic efficiency. For operation in demanding environments, an optional bonded stainless-steel insert integrated into the helicopter blade’s leading edge is available, providing enhanced protection against erosion and impact.
